Last night we went to a concert for Michael Harcus' new CD, which I'm listening to now :) He ended on the song "Party" which goes like "A party like never before, when we reach that golden shore". The track ends with a tune written specially by Andy Cant called "Heavens Above", good toe-tapping tune.
After that, what the minister said was: "Let's hope when we get to heaven there'll be a corner of Orkney musicians with Michael at the head!" Now I come to think of it, that would be pretty awesome.
Another reason why I kinda look forward to heaven is quite often I stumble across really interesting people online I'd love to meet in person. That and being able to be with EVERYONE and never parting again - awesome!
But while I say all that in other ways I don't want to go quite yet - feel there's a lot left to do here on earth!

Pride
This is something that came to mind the other day. I don't know about you, but I tend to over-react to criticism and get angry (really angry). I yell at my parents way too much and am starting to feel sorry for them.
Well, this lyric from a song came to mind: "Sometimes it takes the critic's opinion just to see the strength of my pride." I get on at others about their not doing things right, and this kinda brought me crashing down to earth, if you know what I mean.
None of us is perfect! We all need God's help, no matter what age we are and even after we're saved and think we're walking well with God, well, you can't just kid yourself all the time that you can manage on your own.
Just a short thought, and would also like to say, everyone can start off their praying by praying for Abby! Check out the Riggs Family blog on my sidebar or go to www.riggsfamilyblog.com.
